Artist Statement I am a watercolor artist living in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I have been painting for over 40 years, but I have done other mediums in the beginning. I have just always loved how fluid yet diverse watercolor can be so it is my medium of choice. I love to paint subjects from ordinary life and find the beauty in the things we see and observe every day. I am captured by how atmosphere and mood effect the world around me whether it is in a simple roadside field in the fog or some items sitting on a table in the bight sunlight. These every day things are where I like to rest awhile and seek to bring it to life through my watercolors.
