Description Illustration for the story 'The Poor Miller's Son and the Cat' by Ella Dolbear Lee, as seen in a 1917 edition of 'Grimm's Fairy Tales'. This is not the same tale as the one called 'Puss in Boots', but one of the lesser-known works from the collections of the Brothers Grimm. However, it is possible that this was an illustration for 'Puss in Boots' that was re-used for another story by the publisher of this particular edition. This story involves an enchanted tortoise-shell cat who is really a beautiful princess.
