Being fortunate enough to live among natural beauty, I have always been inspired by the colors in the landscape, the varieties of sunlight, and the intricate loveliness of plants and flowers.
My latest work, shown in the "Costa Rica" gallery, reflects a relationship between art and meditation. When I painted these pieces, I was listening to an audio program that enhances the listener's ability to achieve a state of meditation. This helped me to escape distraction and attain some freedom from the critical mind. I like to try to have "beginners mind" while making art. Like a child roaming the landscape of her imagination.
