Along with his wife and muse, Sandra Equihua, he created the acclaimed animated television series "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera" for Nickelodeon. Gutierrez and El Tigre have been honored with a Reuben Award, six Emmy Awards and two Annie awards.
