I paint mainly using acrylics, watercolors and various types of pencils depending on the effect I want to achieve.

I paint mainly using acrylics, watercolors and various types of pencils depending on the effect I want to achieve.
Having small pieces of art emerge from my own imagination, hands and eyes help to keep me in balance when I need it most.

I am attracted to painting on small primed boards because I find it most satisfying being able to start and finish a piece in a short amount of time. I also enjoy the small spaces and controlled detail that I get in smaller sizes.
I spend the majority of my time working to create an interesting texture before I start to paint the graphics of a piece. Sometimes my ideas/concepts work as visualized or sometimes the experience leads off into something entirely new and unexpected.

My current unexpected but rewarding development has been my latest body of work which incorporates my love of doodling. I have found that even though I doodled for years I never thought to use it as a basis for my artwork. PTB
