He’s also drawn to the hustle and bustle of big city lights – he enjoys photographing Denver during late night hours. Matthew has an appreciation and an awareness of different architectural styles that adorn the city. He’s drawn to the intricate brick work of Art Deco buildings and the Mid-century futuristic designs and the Googie neon lights of yesterday year.

In 2015, Matthew eschewed all of his digital camera gear and converted entirely to medium format film. He finds the tactical and methodical approach to film shooting very rewarding. “There’s just something about the color, grain and subtle tones of film that you can’t get with digital. I’m excited to pursue all landscape photography endevours with this format moving forward”
