While most of my art has been conceptual, in service to my writing, I have always enjoyed putting down on paper the characters and images that are in my head. They help me define and get a foothold on the story. As I get older, and I put more work into a given image, I realize many of them can stand alone and take on a life of their own. When I was in my teens I developed a series of comic book ideas, heroes and villains, and in my twenties I tossed around a few novel ideas and played a lot of roleplaying games and created my own. They help me define and get a foothold on the story. As I get older, and I put more work into a given image, I realize many of them can stand alone and take on a life of their own. When I was in my teens I developed a series of comic book ideas, heroes and villains, and in my twenties I tossed around a few novel ideas and played a lot of roleplaying games and created my own. In my thirties I finally started to follow through on a few of these ideas and now in my forties, I have a handful of self-published stories under the Spiral Legion (scifi horror) and Forsaken Stars (scifi horror fantasy) banners. I'm setting the ground work on a new comic book called Black Gum, and fiddling with a few stories that don't fall in any one category, with sketches and concept art always on the horizon. Enjoy.
