My interest in photography started when I was a child in our basement where my father had a small darkroom. I thought the entire process was pure magic. Over the years, I dabbled in photography and fine arts, but it wasn’t until I heard about SX-70 Polaroid manipulation that I found a beautiful way to merge photography and painting.

Inspiration for my art is all around me, in the day-to-day ramblings of life. I might stumble across old theater chairs and find myself taken in by the rich color and history. Or I might pass a woman lying on a dock reading a book and remember the sense of peace I experience when I take respite in a moment by myself. I try to recreate the feeling I had at the instant I captured the image.
