Description Yonks back I was taught anything with spines, fangs or sting, you dont want it! I found this cactus clinging to a rocky ledge and against m better judgement I crawled out where I could get just the right angle on it. Seemed to work okay Ill include the shot of m feet in the air and the sky above em in the near future.Another pointer about cactus we learned whilst exploring the Heart of Texas no matter how pretty or how yummy something looks do not pick it! Olwhatshername decided itd be cool to pick a basket of cactus fruit to make into Prickly-Pear Jam. I admonished her to wear gloves. I even came up with a set of tongs, but No-ooh! Hand picked tiny little spines all over the purply things and me with tweezers pulling the little buggers out of her. Live and Learn~:0)This pix proves m point about tripods, fill-flash and going where the pictures are in photography. The strobe brought out the texture of the twisted oaks and lit the rocks the tripods took out shake and helped contrast and you already know about going out on a ledge to get the score - VivaChas! ~:0)
