Description A financial ugly statement, made with a beautiful mood. Made over and over again with prints, just like the financial collapse(this is #18 out of 20). Series titled a 'Financial Armageddon'. I have always enjoyed using stock certificates in my prints shine-coll'd into the print. In the freehand etching i have etched/drawn backwards so as to print forwards many types of imagery including in morse code 'mirror image'. Artists amd works thought of; are Picasso's Guernica, Jasper Johns Flags, Kandinksy color style and Escher with chine-coll. There is the two elbowed comically drawn man with which I am poking fun at Nostrodamus's Antichrist, the hand of God, or the hand of government. A rowboat for staying above water financially. Two flies. Eyes and mouths for greed and escalating corruption and consumption. There is the face of paranoia/escalation. A twenty dollar bill with a city that has smoke stacks atop it, global warming. An American war Indian. A bull and a bear signifying markets. The bear is next to the Indian also signifying the Cold War of the 20th century. A grizzly bear is slashing at a gas nozzle. A ribbon is in front of the bull with the national debt on it.
