Artist Statement I've been an illustrator for more than 10 years now, and I think it's great to be in a creative profession, where I can continually develop colorful and innovative art.

When I originally developed my current style, I worked in oils and acrylics. Now I use Adobe Photoshop, and a variety of other digital tools to achieve the same style.

My traditional illustration background enables me to think conceptually, and to create solid compositions with colorful realism. My background in graphic design and desktop publishing has given me experience in preparing electronic files for print.

I've had the pleasure of illustrating the Prehistoric North America series of educational children's books, for the Millbrook Press, as well as The Great Giants, an educational computer game published by TS Denison/Instructional Fair (now part of McGraw-Hill).
