Description Alice, Elise, Elisa . . . . This incredible sports car is called 'Elise', but was named after 'Elisa', the granddaughter of the chairman of Lotus Cars, Romano Artioli, when it first came into the world in 1996. 'Alice' is a 2007 Series 2 wonder that weighs less than 2,000 lbs., does 0-60 in under 5 seconds, tops out at 150 mph, and gets over 25 mpg, all with a 189 hp Toyota/Yamaha engine.Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too!
Gordon Summer, San Diego Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I'm really an ad guy . . . more of a marketing type. But I love cars. Used to collect 'em. But made the decision to go urban 15 years ago, and a high-rise in a city ain't no place to keep a car collection. So they're gone. I like to say I've bought and sold maybe $3 or $4 million worth of great cars over the years . . . for a grand total of $116,000.
Anyway, now I take photos of classics, sports, exotics, muscle cars, and misc. special interest autos, manipulate 'em digitally, and do giclee prints. They take up so much less space, and don't drip anything on the floor!
