Description Battered And Leaning, its tin all askewThe walls barely holding not one floor, but two.Within this old homestead, one can still hear the soundOf children laughing and playing and running around.Mother trying her best to corral the young beastsWhilst from the kitchen she prepares such a feast.Outside Pa is working from dawn until duskThe corn fields a-popping with corn still to husk. This homestead has seen many a good year beforeBut, Battered And Leaning, it shan't see much more.~ Original verse by Betty NorthcuttPhotograph taken on Hwy. 62 in Gateway, ArkansasThis image is COPYRIGHT REGISTERED~~ALL RIGHTS RESERVED~~MCN:CU2RB-F1K4H-DR37K
