Description Dedicated to the loved ones left behind, and the souls of the 29 New Zealand miners who passed away underground. The church bells rang 29 times,so we knew it was final and the end of the line. Now 29 miners are at heavens gate,With coal silt dirty faces, asking is it too late? When God replies with half a grin,'No my children, come on in.'They place their mining lights gently on heaven's floor, When God said 'Job well done! Leave your boots at the door.' In loving memory of 29 miners who passed away in the Pike River Mine, New Zealand. The stars on the men's heads represent their helmet lights, and to show that when they enter heaven these lights will become stars. The little angel is leading them up the stairs, through the tunnel, and the bigger angel is looking around the mine, making sure there is no one left.
Kristie Theobald, Sydney Member Since August 2010 Artist Statement Welcome to my creative world!
I have been a self confessed shutterbug for many years, and have only just recently discovered the magical world of graphic design.
I consider myself to be a spiritual and fantasy digital artist and am constantly inspired by my pets, family, friends, nature, and distant places. I also have a very concrete belief in life after death, and I design memorial pictures for those who have lost either a human or furry loved one. Thanks for stopping by to visit and I hope you come away feeling inspired and energised by what you see here.
