Description This is a print of my painting of Bomb Island, which is a Martin reserve. Every summer, thousands of the birds flock to the island. As the sun sets, the birds fly out to the island to roost. They turn it into a spectacular show; as the sun lowers, the swarm the island in circles, flying lower and lower until they settle into the trees at almost the same moment the sun slips below the horizon. After dark, there is hardly a bird in the sky, and the birds create a cacophony as they settle in.
