Description The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, more commonly referred to as La Seu, is a Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral located in Palma, Majorca, Spain, built on the site of a pre-existing Arab mosque. Designed in the Catalan Gothic style but with Northern European influences, it was begun by King James I of Aragon in 1229 but finished only in 1601. Imaged captured in October 2010. He is a former U.S. Navy Sailor, a 20-year retired Chief Petty Officer who has a Bachelor of Science degree in the Humanities with depth fields in Religion/Philosophy and Journalism. He is currently employed as a writer/editor, public affairs specialist and a photographer for the Marine Corps. He has traveled across the U.S. several times visiting all 50 states. He has also ventured to many countries around the world.
