Description My three cats raced to the museum when they heard the famous Le Chat Noir poster was on exhibit. Thophile Alexandre Steinlen was commissioned to create this poster for the nightclub Le Chat Noir (French for The Black Cat). The Le Chat Noir was a nineteenth-century establishment in Paris that opened in 1881 and was thought to be the first modern cabaret.Design copyright Donna Mibus.
