Artist Statement Bob Brent, a designer and illustrator, has mastered the mediums of watercolor, gouache, oil and pen and ink. Over his outstandng career he has created commemorative exhibitions and conceptual art for all occasions.
As University Artist at Michigan State University, Bob created artwork in support of tremendously successful fundraising campaigns and paintings for university donors and functions. Prior to joining Michigan State, Bob was a commercial illustrator for advertising agencies and associations in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Chicago and Michigan. His work has appeared in magazines, books, athletic publiations, historical materials, murals and books. His remarkable versatile illustrations and designs have won numerous Addy Awards from the American Advertising Federation. Bob’s university creations received numerous awards from the Counsel for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) including the coveted national Gold Award.
