Description Chichen Itza is a sepia tone photographic wall art print of this Mayan pyramid in Chichen Itza. Chichen Itza is one of the most visited Mayan cities by tourist. It is located inland on the Yucatan Peninsula between Merida and Cancun. This particular structure is one of the wonders of the world and is one of the most highly recognized pyramids outside of Egypt. I used a sepia tone finish on the photograph for that old rustic look. The sepia brown tones originated with film photography as part of the process to develop the prints in the 1800s. Today, we can recreate that same vintage look digitally.Follow my work:TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/Twitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2013 Kirt Tisdale/TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
