Description This homeless man approached me,asking if I could take his portrait.I did a few shots till he was satisfied. We talked for a bit,he asked me to send copies to his mom in Arizona. As I was getting ready to move on,he asked me to wait.So he could show me what he could do.I took this shot as he was sketching out my name in a landscape using Native American motifs. Sometimes, all we need is some connection to a fellow human.
Diego Romero Member Since February 2012 Artist Statement I strive to capture the "rayo del alma" (flash of the soul) of every day life. From the way light plays on water to the smile of a child as they chase a paper airplane. The flashes of our souls are always coming through.
