Description Covered Wagon Sketched is a wall art print I created using a colored pencil sketching technique to create this look. This technique uses strong, but narrow diagonal lines with bright colors. The inspiration behind this print is a covered wagon I came across in the Sharlot Hall Museum located in Prescott, Arizona. On the grounds of the museum complex is the original Governors Mansion (log house) of the then Arizona Territory along with other structures from that era. The museum structure houses this covered wagon, a stage coach and vintage cars. Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
