Artist Statement Hello everyone, my art journey started in 1998 where I wanted a change in career and I was drawn to the arts because I had come across art when I was in hospital for an illness. I knew instantly that this is what I want to do. I especially like working with colour as I love looking at flowers because they are so beautiful. Also the pattern and design which I love doing also comes from my Polynesian background. These designs just come naturally and I like working in all mediums, acrylic, watercolour and oil, also coloured pencils and I’ve just started doing mixed media which gives me more flexibility. I am finding that people have been stealing my designs so that’s why I want to make it a business and get copyright so my work will be protected and no one else can take them.
