Artist Statement Greetings, my name is Russ Hardisty. I have been drawing since the age of 4. Of course, those images aren't superb or anything but being able to draw was an outlet I had that allowed me to get away from things.

Through middle school and high school I would draw a lot. Sold my first piece (landscape - an oil bar and acrylic on wood) to my History teacher and I thought it would be a good way to make money. Unfortunately, I found it hard to sell myself at that age with a small portfolio. I ended up putting my art on the back burner until recently when I found websites, like Imagekind, where I could load images and open myself up to the world to see my work.

I have two styles: one comic bookish, the other is my own style. I try to stay away from these styles overlapping but sometimes it gives it a nice focal point to keep your eye coming back to the drawing's main theme.
