Artist Statement I came to Colorado after graduating from Kansas State University. My last two years in College had been filled with traveling throughout Asia with the K-State Singers and with my studies at Justus Liebig University in Germany. And it is through these experiences that I developed my deep love of nature, history, and capturing ways in which nature and the man-made world collide in extraordinary ways.

Once in Colorado, I spent much of my time hiking, fishing, skiing and exploring old mining towns. Then, after 30 years of earning a living in advertising and marketing, my energies turned toward fine art.

Watercolor is by far my favorite medium ... with all the elegance that evolves from "happy accidents" and the satisfaction in working with and through the unexpected.

Many of my works may be found at the Grand Lake Art Gallery and in the Gallery at Keystone Lake, as well as in exhibits throughout Boulder and Summit Counties in Colorado. My work has been juried into numerous shows throughout Colorado and I am currently involved in the Colorado Watercolor Society, the Summit County Women of Watercolor, and the Boulder Art Association. I also serve on the Broomfield Public Art Committee and enjoy teaching in both Summit County and here in the Boulder area.
