Description This is a painting of Jazzie, our sweet fur baby! Her hair is so soft that once you feel it you want to cuddle with her. She is a fun part of our family. She has one blue eye and one brown eye and she loves people and wants to please. I can't leave her home too long by herself because she gets bored and then starts finding things to get into. These dogs are herders and they need a job or something to do. They have two coats of hair. The top layer is water repellent which comes in handy when outside herding! The under layer of hair is like down and it sheds twice a year. We live in a hairy house because of her but would have it no other way because we love her.
Penny Pausch, Jonesboro Member Since February 2012 Artist Statement I grew up way back in the hills of Missouri (U.S.). I was a country girl and loved every moment of it. My sister and I did not have many toys and so we played outside on trees and other things in the woods and learned to use our imagination. This has become an asset to me. I knew by the 5th grade that I wanted to be an artist more than anything else. I like to paint, sew, minipulate objects so that they are interesting, cook, and write poetry. One of my goals is to write a poetry book and illustrate it. I recently have gone back to college after 17 years of raising my children.
