Description Digital painting for the science-fiction horror roleplaying game universe Spiral Legion, Juniper, an Aerospace Force Soldier, with the genetic enhancement template 'Foliage,' stands tall, bound to her symbiotic roots that provide sustenance, camouflage and even defensive and offensive weaponry.
Rob Lopez, Orange Cove, CA Member Since September 2017 Artist Statement While most of my art has been conceptual, in service to my writing, I have always enjoyed putting down on paper the characters and images that are in my head. They help me define and get a foothold on the story. As I get older, and I put more work into a given image, I realize many of them can stand alone and take on a life of their own. When I was in my teens I developed a series of comic book ideas, heroes and villains, and in my twenties I tossed around a few novel ideas and played a lot of roleplaying games and created my own. In my thirties I finally started to follow through on a few of these ideas and now in my forties, I have a handful of self-published stories under the Spiral Legion (scifi horror) and Forsaken Stars (scifi horror fantasy) banners. I'm setting the ground work on a new comic book called Black Gum, and fiddling with a few stories that don't fall in any one category, with sketches and concept art always on the horizon. Enjoy.
