Alma Lee, GREEN BAY, WI Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I am an artist and a poet, living in a small community in Wisconsin with the love of my life, my husband Steve and the always-joyous presence of my two beloved dogs Dixson and Tripper.
I have loved art longer than life and failed and succeeded in both often. Leonardo da Vinci said; "Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art." Concerning my work I have found no truer statement. What I create is a direct expression of the governing spirit within in me. Be it light, I pour out its overflow, be it darkness, I wrestle to relinquish it to the light. Christ has shown me the beauty in both.
Recently color pencil and markers have become my weapon of choice, but in the not so distant past I have drawn and created my art digitally. Now more than not, I choose to employ them both. You can buy my originals on Boundless Gallery, Ebay, Redbubble and www.Esty.com
