Artist Statement My journey as an artist has developed gradually over the years. I loved taking pictures as a child but back then film was expensive and it gradually fell by the wayside. I fell back in love with photography when my husband and I got engaged and couldn't afford a photographer of our own. The digital boom created a spark in me that couldn't be extinguished. I dabbled with digital art for the first time when I was attempting to create illustrations for my self-published fantasy novel 'Cloud's Keeper' but it wasn't until I was creating a second cover for another book that I really excelled and once again I was bit by the art bug. And finally it was during my pregnancy with my daughter that I began to design nursery decor. I loved every aspect of creating her a unique, beautiful, whimsical room to call her own and wanted to share my designs with others, since she only has one room and the ideas seem to be limitless.
Now I'm a Stay-at-home mom to my precious miracle baby but the creative bug still gnaws away. Imagekind offers me an outlet of creative expression while affording me a token amount of financial independence.
