Description 'Roadside Cafe' is a wall art print done in a fauvist oil technique of a cafe just off the road in a New England village. This technique focuses on bold brush strokes, abstract shapes and bright colors creating a very modern look. The setting is a typical New England village in the springtime. The summer tourist season is right around the corner and the cool spring air invites you to linger awhile and just enjoy the ambience of the village. The area is known for its fresh seafood in abundance. The villages along the New England coastline grew from the fishing industry that this area is famous for. There is a definite charm and feel to the region along with the natural beauty of the coastal area.Follow my work:TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/Twitter:https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2012 Kirt Tisdale/TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
