Description A Saturn rocket reflected in polished granite on a beautiful autumn day. Details: The northern Alabama welcome center along the border with Tennessee is home to a series of war memorials and a Saturn 1B rocket to honor the state's fallen as well as its contributions to the nation's space program. I didn't plan this shot, it more or less appeared as I was looking at the names on the granite wall of the Vietnam memorial. I didn't even notice until I got home that three most visible names are 'Moon,' 'Young' and 'Bright,' which for me tie together these two vastly different symbols of the 1960s and give cause for reflection.
