Description Everybody's fave, the '57 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible. See those dual pipes comin' out the back? Could be a 270 PowerPack or a 283 Fuelie under that bonnet. If you were in school in '57 or '59 or '63 or even '67, and you pulled up with these wheels, you had it made in the shade. Hell, if you pull up in one of these today, you're the dude, dude.
Gordon Summer, San Diego Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I'm really an ad guy . . . more of a marketing type. But I love cars. Used to collect 'em. But made the decision to go urban 15 years ago, and a high-rise in a city ain't no place to keep a car collection. So they're gone. I like to say I've bought and sold maybe $3 or $4 million worth of great cars over the years . . . for a grand total of $116,000.
Anyway, now I take photos of classics, sports, exotics, muscle cars, and misc. special interest autos, manipulate 'em digitally, and do giclee prints. They take up so much less space, and don't drip anything on the floor!
