Description St. George's Episcopal Church is part of the parish of Calvary-St. George's, which has been active in New York since before the Revolutionary War. The structure (built in 1846-48), is located at 209 East 16th Street, facing Stuyvesant Square. The church was named a National Historic Landmark in 1976.
