Description This image is of Glentrool in South-West Scotland. Another early rise for the 2 hour drive to catch the sunrise. The temperatures had dropped overnight, so I thought there would be a good chance of mist on the Loch. I waited for around an hour for this shot until the golden rays of the sun creeping into the glen lit up the hills behind Loch Trool.
Robert Strachan Member Since October 2007 Artist Statement I have recently returned to photography after a long absence of over 20 years. These pictures are the result of my journey into the art of landscape photography.
Living in Scotland, I am fortunate to have a wealth of fantastic landscapes on my doorstep. I try to capture the feel of the moment when I take my image. The faint first rays of light or a magnificent sunset all come together to hopefully create a memorable image.
