Description 'THE ARRIVAL' by Marian VoicuA surrealist digital collage, perfect for any fan of aliens, science fiction, conspiracies and UFO's and for people who above all have an odd sense of humor. I got the idea for this digital art one night when I went to sleep thinking of a new fantastic, absurd and comical scene for a digital collage conceived in my own surrealistic style. And I came up with the idea of a third grade encounter, not the classic ones from the genre movies, but rather a humorous one, and what else could have been more absurd than a combination between the image of a classic alien and a paper plane from which he gets off and gives an interview to the reporters gathered around who sip every word from his lips. I love to be careful about small details, so if you take a closer look, you will see a person holding a piece of paper with a mysterious and sarcastic \'The End?\' message. But the real question that haunts us is will they ever offer us their advanced technology so we can build ... paper planes of our own?

Artist Statement Hello and welcome to my shop! My name is Marian and I'm a visual artist. My works don’t have a particular theme or style. Depending on the inspiration of the moment, I like to create watercolor illustrations, digital surreal collages or other type of collages (I very much like the idea of absurd, impossible or funny situations), digital portraits or playing with texture layers creating interesting effects similar to real paintings.
