Description One of four paintings in a series. Each successive painting is a detail of the previous one. This is the third painting that shows 'the conversation' of women who have lived lives. They have stories to tell. This is set in the colonial dining room of the Wayside Inn, Sudbury, Massachusetts.

Artist Statement I have been making art for as long as I can remember.

I'm a native of California. I come from a family of artists. My grandfather was an architect who left his mark throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, designing Mediterranean-style bungalow homes in the 1920s and ’30s. My mother is a courtroom sketch artist and portrait painter. I am a 1985 graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts, with a BFA degree in architectural design with a minor in art history. I developed my painting style as an architectural renderer, eventually branching out into portraiture. I have a particular love and appreciation for Art Nouveau design and painting, extending into the Arts and Crafts movement.

I'm unafraid of high technology, and using it to make fine art. I've been immersed in high-tech and traditional media for decades. As an architectural and graphic designer, I have long been steeped in the regimen of traditional design aided by modern means. Interweaving this understanding into paintings that are beautiful, inspirational, and arresting is my greatest joy.
