Description This is a bit of a disturbing image. That is the way it is intended to be. There are far too many children that are harmed day to day and cannot defend themselves. Too many of those children pay the ultimate price, their lives. I cannot stand seeing in the paper or on the news another story of a child being harmed or killed by an adult. There is no excuse for this. It is sad to see the weak take out their aggressions on someone who cannot fight back.
Christian Poitras Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement The way I come up with an image, is quite simple. I do the work on my computer. I paint the background in, put a color on the background, and use a smudge tool to start shaping the image. Usually I will drag the colors around, making shapes or shadows. As that occurs I start to see the image develope. I do not go into a picture with an idea to create most of the time. I just let it evolve. As it does the picture becomes more clear, then I manipulate it until the picture is complete. I really enjoy listening to music and a lot of times that will dictate some of the names of the pictures. It may be something from an album title, a song title, or a lyric from a song. Sometimes it can help to take a picture in a certain direction.
