Description The Tracks by the House: a wall art print where I used a pointillism watercolor technique creating this scene. This technique uses round dots for brush strokes and subdued colors creating a soft, warm look. This particular wall art print depicts railroad tracks running very close to a home. The home is actually the local Chamber of Commerce and the tracks have been abandoned for some time. The setting is Issaquah, Washington located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain range to the east of Seattle. Once a small stop along the rail line between Seattle to the west and North Bend in the Cascade Mountains to the east, this town has become a thriving and vibrant suburb within the metropolitan area of Seattle.Follow my work: TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/Twitter:https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2013 Kirt D. Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
