Description The heart of a family farm is it's barns, and a good farmer knows the value of a good sturdy barn and keeps it well. These wonderful working barns are fast disappearing from the American landscape along with the family farms, and it saddens me to see them go. Many thanks to Arden for the photo from which this piece was done.
Sherry Wargo, Michigan, USA Member Since December 2006 Artist Statement Sherry lives in Michigan, in a lovely old farmhouse surrounded by flowers, with her husband, four Border Collies, a Standard Poodle, and a strange little dog named Yogi (maybe Australian Cattle Dog/Rat terrier cross?). She and husband Gary have three grown children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, bringing them great joy.
Over the past 60 years or so, the things she's been most consistently passionate about have been family, dogs, agility competition, gardening, and artwork. Her art has been focused primarily on dogs, and she has only recently begun to bring her love of flowers and wildlife to that hobby.
