Artist Statement Welcome to my insanity. Art is telepathy. When I sit down and paint an image, I take what is in my head and share it with the world. It travels from my mind to yours instantly. Art is time travel. When someone looks at one of my pieces in a hundred years my thoughts are instantly transported in to the future. What do you want something that powerful and magical to say about you? As both an artist and a writer, I believe that both should be done with every ounce of passion and skill that one has. I have never painted a stroke, written a line, or snapped a picture, thinking what can I do to make a bunch of money. Don't get me wrong, I want to sell my work but it is the work that is important to me. I have given things away to strangers because they loved a piece so much. I don't want to insult those among us that paint tulips or seascapes because they happen to be selling like hotcakes that month. For me personally, that is a pointless pursuit.
I am a surrealist. Like everyone else I love Dali, unlike most I know Dali is neither the begining nor the end of the movement. I also love Breton, Miro etc. Much of my work centers around same sex relationships. I am a strong advocate of gay rights. I have been married for 10 years to a wonderful, supportive woman. I have a two year old daughter named Shawna who is the center of my existence (wife too). She is also a subject of my work. I am the author of the novel Slayer Team Alpha. I am listed in Who's who in America and Who's who in American Art. My favorite painting medium is Acrylics (can you say drying time), but I also love oils and water-color. I am totally taken with Photoshop and Painter. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
