Description It is a cold and snowy wintry afternoon in Central Park. A person bundled up in an overcoat, one bag slung over each shoulder, wearing a beret on his bent head walks toward the camera. His scarf wrapped around his neck almost buries his head. An empty garbage bag lays on the ground. Footprints show that other people have passed this way. A white blanket of snow covers the park benches making them almost imperceptible. The trees are outlined with the winter storm. Another person is seen in the distance. New York City can be a lonely place when the weather freezes up the day.
Madeline Ellis, New York Member Since December 2007 Artist Statement I am married and I have one daughter, 30 and the cutest grand dog, Luke. I studied photography and interior design. I enjoy blending the two. Almost everything that I shoot ends up on my wall and enhances my space. I have had one women shows in Manhattan and my work has been in photography magazines as well. Recently, a photo of mine was purchased by Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. When someone purchases one of my photos, I become a part of their life and in a small way have brightened up their space. It is a very gratifying feeling.
