Structure was began in early 2006. Mr. Vance considers this to be an open ended project. It is a study of architectural details and their surroundings, often contrasting traditional and modern styles. Most of this work has been done in Seattle, a place that he has found to be quite diverse in design types. These images contain several buildings of notoriety, and of interesting design: the Washington Mutual Building, the Smith Tower, Seattle City Hall, the King County Administration Building, and the Bank of America Building (formerly known as the Columbia Tower, the tallest building in Seattle). All of these photos were taken with a Nikon D200 digital single lens reflex camera, with lenses of up to 400mm.
