Description This particular bend of this stream - its' banks... how they seem to be 'puffed up' like fast traveling clouds on a breezy summer day, is fascinating to me. As I was walking along this stream, in the middle of nowhere, on a warmish October day, it began to drizzle. If you look closely at this photo (in full-size) you will be able to see the faint imprints of rain drops in the water. The misty rain created a foggy blur to the distance....creating a mystical aura to the setting.
Christine Caridi, Naperville Member Since August 2007 Artist Statement When I was a child, I remember playing a game which included pretending my eyes were cameras. Whenever I saw something I thought would make a nice picture, well of course I would just BLINK and take an imaginary photograph!
I love to create a mood or evoke an emotion with my art. When I look at a subject, I try to imagine how it will look within the limitations of the finite measurements of a photograph. Does the subject's intrigue lie in its balance or imbalance? Which colors evoke passion and which ones saddness? Many of these photographs were taken in autumn and are very colorful.
