Artist Statement I work mostly in The GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) though I also have a fondness for pastels on sugar paper. Much of my work is fantasy inspired, or sometimes weird or just whimsical.

I take inspiration from puns, folktales and patterns I see in woodgrain or fingerprints or those odd shadows your eye misinterprets for a moment. Some of my pieces are based on poems I have written, for example “In The Light of Einstein” is based on my sci-fi poem about a human colony on a moon circling a gas giant planet, lit by a star called Einstein, and “Ninja Lolita” is based on a poem about a ninja girl who uses a silver impregnated photographic print to kill a werewolf.
