Artist Statement Sarah John Afana works from her home studio a'top a hill surrounded by almond orchards. Her work is inspired by her active lifestyle living along California's Central Coast. While she enjoys working expressively in her abstract series she is also known for her award winning Surfer Series of watercolor paintings.
