Artist Statement I am a mostly self-taught artist, and I have been drawing, painting, writing, and enjoying various creative pursuits since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I lived in Zambia, the heart of Africa, for my entire childhood, which is reflected in the bold and vibrant colours that I use in my work. However, my cultural and artistic influences are many, as I have also lived in Sweden, and am now based in London, a city that I have come to love for its dynamism and diversity.

I love to explore enticing themes such as the allure of the female form, the mystique of Venetian masks, and the vibrancy of tropical flowers, and I use a lively pallette of colours to create a dramatic blend of eroticism, fantasy and sensuality. Using acrylic paint on canvas, I play with a range of colours, my favourites being the passionate reds and oranges, as well as the earthy greens and ochres. I believe that there is an artist at the heart of everyone, however it may express itself - it is all about relaxing, tapping into the flow and letting your subconscious mind communicate with you. Indeed, this is where some of my best art comes from -from letting go of shoulds and must-dos, fears and desires, and simply letting the art magically evolve by itself under my paintbrush.
