Description This artwork was inspired by a portion of the Far Eastern work, the Pattanumodana, and the words are as follows: Just as water flowing in the streams and rivers fills the ocean, thus may all your moments of goodness, touch and benefit all beings~those here now and those gone before. May all your wishes be soon fulfilled as completely as the moon on a full moon night. May all dangers be averted. May all disease leave you. May no obstacles come across your way and may you enjoy happiness and long life. May those who are always respectful, honoring the way of the elders, prosper in the four blessings of old age, beauty, happiness and strength. This is a wonderful artwork to hang in your own home, as I did, or to gift to those who you really appreciate.
Irene Konig, Austin Member Since December 2008 Artist Statement I have been an artist, in one medium or another, for most of my life, and I love to create images that will speak to people. Using calligraphy, my art has impact both in words and design. Much of my art came about because of deep emotions that I felt, and this carries through it to the viewer. These artworks make great gifts for others who are important to you, as well as deserving a place in your own home.
