Artist Statement Grew up in a small town near Flint, Michigan, then lived in glorious Olympia, Washington for 10 years. Then a drunken Englishman told me that quitting my job and moving from everything I love in Olympia to Bogota, Colombia was an excellent idea. I've always been easily influenced by random drunks, but in fact, it was the biggest mistake I could think to make. I now live in lovely Bogota, where the sound of explosions is really, honestly, almost always just fireworks.
