Artist Statement I was born in Mitcham, S.W. London, moved to a small village in the south of England, Mudeford, Christchurch, Dorset. Learnt to sail yachts from the Christchurch Sailing Club and went on to win many Championships around the UK., including Cowes Week twice.
Then found myself on a ship cruising to South Africa for a years surfing holiday and ended up spending 33 years in Cape Town.
Sold up everything, bought a 42ft yacht, and my girlfriend and I sailed it across the Indian Ocean spending three years cruising the islands before ending up in Phuket, Thailand.
Here I started an eco cruise business www.riverrovers.com, I decided that there were too many companies in Phuket all doing the same thing, so I set about creating something different, our cruises are not on the main tourist routes we get away from all that and have created a niche for ourselves, you can see our reviews on Tripadvisor.com where we are rated the 2nd best attraction in Phuket out of 76.
