Artist Statement Hi, thanks for visiting. I'm Malinda Hartong - passionate about both photojournalist and art. In addition to storytelling images, it seems I'm always looking for beauty in everyday life.

And on the rare instances when I finds myself "off work", I'm never without some sort of camera, hunting for that elusive decisive moment or beautiful scene.

Favorite subjects include pets, with dogs and horses at the top of the list, southwest scenics in Arizona, New Mexico, or Texas, Native American traditions blending with "modern day life", the natural world around me at any given moment.

Several of these images were made while my photographer/videographer husband and I were on "vacation", and are his work as well. We met thanks to his big lenses, no kidding.
