Artist Statement The slower pace of the south lends itself to a different way of seeing things. I myself like to take advantage of this by taking more time to study the flowers, or kicking my feet around in the sand just a little bit longer than most.

It is from my life as a southern man that I draw inspiration. I paint the world around me, as well as the world in my dreams, always taking the time to study a texture, a pattern, or a shape that stands out.
